Director, EMEA Product Management, Mobile Local and Commerce
Philippe is Director of Mobile, Local and Commerce at Microsoft, responsible for developing Microsoft’s mobile/local advertising and commerce businesses in EMEA, leading business strategy, sales, operations and relationships across the partner ecosystem. He previously served as head of global business development helping major carriers and publishers onboard and build-out their mobile advertising activity. Philippe joined Microsoft through the acquisition of ScreenTonic in 2007, where he was in charge of international sales and business development.
Philippe Huysmans has an extensive background in the mobile field and brings 18 years of international experience, having worked in Silicon Valley and 5 European countries. Prior to ScreenTonic, he worked for Mitchell Madison Group, marchFIRST, Exxon and as technology VC for Alpinvest Partners. He worked on the first mobile internet initiatives with accounts such as Motorola, Sun, 3Com, Vodafone and a number of wireless start-ups. Philippe is a graduate in engineering and business from University of Brussels and has an MBA from Stanford University.
