Using his graphics background Kent began marketing software and hardware products in the mid 1990s. He transferred this skill to building websites as a founding team member of Pandesic, LLC, an Electronic Commerce software start-up from Intel and SAP. Kent was Director of Online Product Marketing at HotDispatch, an online marketplace and lead web development and online applications for high-tech, biotech and consumer packaged goods for BoldFocus, a premier web design firm. He also worked as a Senior Web Strategist with IBM's Information Management organization.
Kent's SEO experience at IBM lead him to a position as Global Search Strategist with Global Strategies (a division of Ogilvy & Mather) whose SEO client engagements for Fortune 50 companies included Adobe Systems, Cisco and Intel. At Ask.com he used his search optimization skills to build new content sites focused on Q&A and improve performance for other IAC network sites including Dictionary.com and Thesaurus.com. Most recently, Kent directed in-house SEO efforts at QuinStreet for numerous financial services websites including SavingAccounts.com and CarInsurance.com. Now as a consultant he drives search optimization initiatives across various business sizes and industry verticals.
Kent is a graduate of Eckerd College, from which he holds a B.A. in Business Management.
