Eshwar Belani is a technology innovator and business strategist with experience as a senior executive, entrepreneur, manager, and software engineer in online advertising and enterprise software companies. Eshwar is currently the vice president of products and business development at Rocket Fuel. Since 2008, he has defined the vision and led the development of Rocket Fuel’s novel direct response, brand, social, and vertical product families. This product suite incorporates support for automated optimization, user research & data, cross channel synchronization, extended funnel integrated campaigns, user engagement maps, analytics and offline impact measurement. In addition, Eshwar has beem responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and cultivating relationships with over three dozen data, technology, brand, and measurement partners.
Prior to Rocket Fuel, Eshwar was the founder and CEO of Sensact Applications, a Silicon Valley based company focused on building solutions that create smart physical environments.At Sensact Applications, Eshwar formulated the business plan, raised financing, recruited a cross-border team, and delivered the first set of innovative wireless applications which are used on a daily basis in commercial building facilities.
Prior to founding Sensact Applications, Belani was part of Epiphany's product management team and worked on product strategy for Epiphany's marketing and analytics products. He was responsible for Epiphany's flagship CRM marketing and analytics platforms that had over $70M in annual revenue and were used by over 35 Fortune 100 companies.
Prior to joining Epiphany, Eshwar was the co-founder and CTO of iLeverage, a company that built advertising and collaborative selling solutions for online retailers. At iLeverage, Eshwar led a team of engineers to deliver a revolutionary vertical ad network. Prior to iLeverage, Eshwar worked as a software development engineer in the Application Server Group at Oracle.
Eshwar holds a MS in Computer Science from U.C. Berkeley, Management of Technology from U.C. Berkeley, and a B.Tech in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras. He has authored several academic publications and holds six patents. He has spoken at Ad:tech, Digiday:TARGET, Digital Publishing and Advertising Conference, Interactive Insights Summit, Digital World Expo, and many other conferences on the topic of behavioral targeting and data-driven advertising.
