Mike began his career in SEM over 9 years ago in college by selling advertising, including SEM services, for The Minuteman Newspaper at the University of Massachusetts. After school he spent 3 years developing and executing SEM and SEO strategies for Fortune 500 clients at Avenue A | Razorfish and Bigmouthmedia, including Starwood Hotels, Hilton Hotels, JP Morgan Chase, and Capital One, amongst others. His next 5 years were spent selling and managing SEM at Yahoo to some of its top clients on the East Coast as well as launching the award-winning Search Optimization and Strategy Team. He now leads a team of talented business analysts and data scientists within the Bing Ads Business Group, tasked with understanding advertiser behavior and opportunities in order to provide guidance on marketplace management, product development, and marketing and sales strategies. In his spare time he enjoys traveling with his wife, Danielle (who also works in the industry), reading science fiction and economics books (separately), and watching the University of Kansas Jayhawks play basketball.
