Geoffrey Colon is Group Marketing Manager of Social Media at Microsoft/Bing Ads in Bellevue, Washington. In his role, Geoffrey leads a global team of five social media marketers who create and execute tactical social communication campaigns to help drive education and adoption of the Bing Ads platform by premium and small to medium sized business marketers. He is also a subject matter expert on social business and disruptive innovation.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Geoffrey was Vice President of Social@Ogilvy at Ogilvy & Mather in New York City. In that role, Geoffrey created and executed tactical social strategies for a variety of business divisions within IBM including Systems and Technology, MidMarket, Software and Smarter Planet. He wrote several of the top thought leadership pieces for the agency including one on content as the new currency for Fast Company. He also led social strategy and was part of the team that earned the Cannes Lion Gold award for \"The World\'s Smallest Film: A Boy and His Atom\" and IBM\'s Tumblr, \"IBMblr.\"

Colon was also Supervisor of Digital Communities at 360i and Social Media Specialist at Bond Strategy and Influence (formerly Electric Artists). He worked with dozens of clients in social media in a variety of disciplines including American Express, Coca-Cola, Lysol, Kraft, Smirnoff, Spotify, The Food Network, Netflix, USA Network, A&E, History, HGTV and Invisalign.

Geoffrey possesses more than 20 years of social, digital and experiential marketing experience. Prior to joining Bond Strategy and Influence in 2007, Colon created and ran his own consulting company from 2002 to 2006 called Frenzy. Ahead of the curve, Frenzy was an influencer marketing company whose clients included Red Bull Energy Drink, Glaceau Smartwater, Diadora Sneakers, Sirius Satellite Radio and RCA Records.

Prior to consulting, Colon was in the music industry as a project manager for V2 Records and an international marketing coordinator for BMG International (now known simply as Sony Music). He has platinum and gold sales awards from his marketing work with Moby, The White Stripes, The Crystal Method, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and The Foo Fighters.

Mr. Colon is a 1994 graduate of Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Communications and a minor in Political Science. Originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, he was a Brooklyn, New York resident from 1996 to 2010, then resided in the leafy suburb of Maplewood, New Jersey from 2010 to 2013. He now resides in Kirkland, Washington, just east of Seattle, with his wife Allison Dunmire, daughters Olive Sophie and Matilda Frankie and his Boston Terrier, Lincoln.

In his spare time, Geoffrey enjoys discussing futurology, technology, innovation, music and food plus enjoys running, cycling, yoga, watching foreign films and playing soccer (he was founder of Brooklyn Gunners FC, NYC’s largest amateur men’s club). He also throws the biggest World Cup final party every four years and watches Seattle Sounders matches in his spare time.
