Head of Search & Data
My name is James Perrott and I am the Head of Search & Data at Zazzle Media. Things that I LOVE about my job are: - Providing actionable data to our clients for them to make real business changes that will improve their business in regards to sales and online visibility. - Using data to improve UX and conversion. - Site redesign and development projects whilst ensuring organic presence doesn't take a hit. - Helping penalised clients recover and bounce back to where they were once before, whilst educating them on best SEO practises. - Continually revolutionising our link building strategies to ensure we're always ahead of the curve.
I am hugely experienced in dealing with some of the largest brands online – such as helping lead the Money Advice Service through a complete responsive design overhaul and ensuring they don't lose any of their X million visitors. Day-to-day I deal with some of THE largest brands online such as; Mecca Bingo, Jobs Today, Johnston Press, Morphsuits, Money Advice Service, My Single Friend and eBay whilst managing the Search & Data team at Zazzle Media. 2014 is to be the year that I venture out into the speaking circuit and it’s something I feel very confident in being able to deliver insightful, actionable and resourceful knowledge to my peers and attendants. From my past, whether it be TV/YouTube interviews in my professional gaming history or speaking to my fellow classmates at University, it’s something I’ve excelled in and enjoyed throughout.
I head up a team of 6 Search & Data experts at Zazzle Media and we produce very insightful data which helps businesses and the rest of Zazzle make data informed decisions; no guess work is required. We then deal with all technical aspects of SEO, such as leading clients through creating multilingual setups as they expand their the global online presence.
Speaking at SMX would be a huge honour and I would ensure that every person who attends my session would go back to work the following day armed with useful tips.
