Hillary Glaser is the SEO Manager at Campbell Ewald in Detroit, Michigan where her team is responsible for the SEO strategy for the US Navy and Owens Corning. She also consults on the connections between SEO, Content, and Social Media for Edward Jones Careers, Experience OnStar, and Consumers Energy.
Hillary got her start in online marketing in 2004 working as a hair stylist at a suburban salon that was looking for new ways to bring in customers. She set up a website and started focusing on the site's content. From there, she went to work in the Middle East helping English-speaking companies find their footing in search marketing and, later, social media.
As the Director of Marketing and Special Projects for GlassesUSA, she helped make buying eyeglasses online a trusted \"thing\" by utilizing link building, word-of-mouth referrals online, and blogger outreach as tactics in an overarching strategy.
While in the Middle East, she received her BA from the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya in International Relations, Counter Terrorism, and Conflict Resolution (which comes in handy in the agency world). She uses her counter terror skills to size up accounts.
