As Head of Commercial Development, Guy is responsible for establishing Yahoo!’s credentials with senior marketers. His role involves positioning Yahoo! as a thought leader within the industry and as the preferred resource for clients considering investing in the online medium and seeking to understand the implications and opportunities the internet brings to their business landscape.
Following a fairly eclectic career path to Yahoo!, Guy started his working life as a Dealer in a Brighton casino. He then moved from dealing cards to actually selling cards through running a playing card business for a further five years.
Guy’s media break came in 1996, when he had the opportunity to introduce the concept of advertising on petrol pump nozzles to an unsuspecting media industry. Three years later, in 1999, he joined Clear Channel Outdoor as Head of Client Sales, staying there for 6 years before Yahoo! beckoned in 2005.
