Live @ SMX Advanced: Think You Know Good Content? Fuggedaboutit. Here’s What Really Counts

Ever since Google “pandalized” the rankings of many sites, the mantra of many publishers and search marketers has been “content, content, content.” Wise words: The now ongoing Panda updates are designed to reward websites that offer valuable information and penalize sites that are using old-school optimization techniques like keyword stuffing, “pretending” to offer insights about a particular topic while in reality serving up thin gruel trying to garner high rankings.

But even though everyone “knows” good content when they see it, almost nobody can offer a concise definition or concrete guidelines for creating Google-friendly content. We see new “recipes” appearing daily, but how do you really know if the ingredients are kosher or the “cooking” process will satisfy Google’s crawling and indexing algorithms?

At SMX Advanced, our speakers on the Think You Know Good Content? Fuggedaboutit. Here’s What Really Counts panel have spent countless hours in their virtual “test kitchens” experimenting with ingredients, measuring both search engine and user response, and distilling tactics for serving up the best possible content. Better yet, these aren’t just “flash in the pan” approaches – these approaches to content creation will likely be favorites for many years to come.

Think You Know Good Content? Fuggedaboutit. Here’s What Really Counts is one of more than two-dozen info-packed sessions on June 11 and 12 at our always sold-out SMX Advanced conference and exhibition in Seattle. Check out the agenda for SMX Advanced and register now!

Looking forward to seeing you in Seattle!
