SMX East’s Technical SEO & Developer’s Itinerary

If your web site isn’t built on search-friendly code and infrastructure, you may be blocking your site from being well indexed and ranked no matter how great your content is and how solid your backlinks are.

If you’re an SEO consultant, in-house SEO, or manage web development, you likely have seen the issues with URL canonicalization, geotargeting content, AJAX and JavaScript, video and other multimedia, and content management systems such as WordPress and ecommerce platforms. If you’re a web developer, you know that the ability to build search-friendly architecture is key knowledge that will give an edge to your marketable skill set.

The Technical SEO track held October 7th at SMX East will zero in on the most common search-related problems with site architecture and help you find solutions to your technical issues. Armed with this information, SEOs can more easily communicate with developers and developers can identify key processes that will enable them to build search-friendly code.

Vanessa FoxThe Technical SEO track has been programmed by Vanessa Fox. Vanessa is cofounder of Jane and Robot, focused on helping developers build search-friendly architecture and weave it into their development processes. She is also a contributing editor at Search Engine Land and previously worked at Google where she built Google Webmaster Central.

If you want to dive further into technical SEO issues, be sure to stay for the Jane and Robot Developer Summit on Thursday October 8th. The summit will be held at the Google New York office. Attendance is free, but by invitation only. SMX attendees get priority for invitations, so read all the details and apply for an invitation today!
