Janes of Digital is a gathering of women who work in the search and digital space and want to support and encourage each other with a cocktail in hand. It’s like getting together with your friends after work, but better because these friends are also industry connections.
Join us for small bites, cocktails, connecting and a panel discussion with leaders in the industry. The evening discussion will focus on how individuals and organizations can foster a mindset and environment that help women build their personal brand and develop their careers.
All are welcome (this means you too, men), but space is limited, so all attendees will be asked to pre-register for this event. SMX East All-Access pass holders receive priority when pre-registering. Networking pass holders will be placed on a waitlist and notified if space is available the week before the event.

Michelle Robbins – Third Door Media
Michelle entered technology in 1995, and has overseen all aspects Third Door Media’s technology initiatives and web presences since its founding in 2006. She has built and leads the company’s development team, which, in addition to keeping the trains running on time for each of the 5 Third Door Media brand web sites (Search Engine Land, Marketing Land, Search Marketing Expo, Digital Marketing Depot and MarTech), also develops and maintains numerous custom back end applications and tools for each of the brands, to support operations and further TDM’s growth and the marketing services capabilities.
Prior to joining Third Door Media, Michelle consulted on web development and digital marketing, developing custom applications and implementing various web marketing initiatives for her clients including American Airlines, Honda Civic Tour, DMX Music, and more. Before making the switch to tech, Michelle lead the alternative radio promotion department at Disney’s commercial record label. She is passionate about engaging more women – and especially young teens – in the field of STEM, and actively mentors local high school students. She is a long time member of WITI (Women in Technology, International) and has moderated and spoken at the annual WITI conference, conducted a webinar for the WITI membership, and regularly speaks at domestic and international search marketing conferences.
Vice President of Digital Marketing
Courtney Goldstein – Comcast
Courtney Goldstein is Vice President of Digital Marketing at Comcast, the largest cable and broadband provider in the United States. In this role, she oversees digital media strategy across Search (SEM & SEO), Display and Social acquisition channels – most notably managing Google’s 14th largest U.S. search advertising budget. Additionally, she is responsible for developing targeted and personalized customer journeys beginning in digital media and persisting throughout the Xfinity.com eCommerce and self-service experiences. Prior to Comcast, Courtney worked at American Express for over 10 years, holding various marketing roles. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Consumer Card Acquisition and Early Tenure Marketing Strategy, focusing on delivering optimal customer interactions across all online and offline marketing channels. Specifically, performing research and analysis to develop the communications plan, offer strategy, and messaging hierarchy that will drive key segments to engage and renew. Courtney holds a bachelor’s degree from Wharton and an MBA from Columbia University.
Marja Koopmans – Microsoft
Marja is a brand and product marketer with extensive global experience. She has been with Microsoft for over 10 years leading marketing and product innovation, and worked at Royal Philips as CMO for the Lighting division.
In her current role at Microsoft she leads product marketing for Microsoft Search Advertising (Bing) collaborating with the engineering team. To her joy she gets to combine her creativity with vast amounts of data, bringing together head and heart to help craft new strategies and put Microsoft Search Advertising on every marketer’s must-have list.
Marja started her career in strategy consulting where she quickly learned what it takes to grow a business and build high-performing teams. A fervent fan of Getting-Stuff-Done she creates environments where people thrive and can do their best work. She successfully established and grew the US presence for a UK based boutique consulting firm.
Marja calls Seattle home with her family, Labrador and other 4 legged creatures. She has a tremendous passion for running and other outdoor activities like mountain biking and skiing – probably all to compensate for her appetite for the delectable food of the Northwest. Her drive for technology carries over to her community where she actively promotes the STEM curriculum to younger learners.
Tania Yuki – Shareablee
Tania Yuki is the founder and CEO of Shareablee, a leading provider of social content analytics for business. She has spent most of her career in digital marketing, measurement and analytics, and was recently honored with SmartCEO’s Brava Award, a Cynopsis Media Top Woman in Digital Award, a L’Oréal Women in Digital Next Generation Award, a Great Mind Award from the Advertising Research Foundation, was featured in Fast Company, and was named in Multichannel News’ 40 under 40 class and by Forbes as one of 12 women driving digital in New York.
Tania began her career as a media and internet attorney, specializing in digital rights management, IP and film financing. After moving to the US from Australia she was seduced by digital and went on to run an online video content network as head of acquisitions and branding and has also led product management for comScore’s Video Metrix, the world’s leading online video ratings service. Tania is also the founder of wimlink, an organization that holds regular events and seminars promoting entrepreneurship, leadership and the professional development of women.
