SMX – Session Ideas Suggestion Form
SMX is always looking for great session ideas for our conferences. Want to contribute? Then use our session ideas "suggestion box" below!
Anyone can submit a session idea for one of our conferences, even if you’re not interested in actually speaking at the conference. Just tell us the name of a suggested session, a description of what you’d like the session to cover and your contact information, if you like. Contact details aren’t required, but they help in case we have follow-up questions.
Interested in speaking on a session you suggest? You can indicate this by ticking the “I’d Like To Speak” box to let us know. However, in most cases, you’ll need to put in a formal pitch after the final agenda is posted using our separate speaking pitch form (this form will only be active once an agenda has been finalized).
What happened to the old two-step process of session pitches and speaking pitches that you might recall? It’s now gone. We changed this because:
- Some people had great session ideas but felt they couldn’t submit these in the old system unless they wanted to speak.
- During agenda development, we often combine and merge many session ideas. This means we need speakers to pitch for a specific session based on the description in the agenda, rather than a suggested idea.
To recap, if you have an idea for a session, use the form below to submit it, regardless of whether you want to speak.
If you do want to speak, suggesting a good idea helps get that on the final agenda, so that you can then put in a formal pitch to speak for a session when we take speaking pitches (usually about a week after the final agenda for a conference is posted).
Due to the number of submissions, we cannot tell you personally if a session idea makes it to the final agenda. However, we will notify everyone who submits when the final agenda is online and the speaking pitch form is open.
Watch the SMX Blog to be alerted when this form opens for suggestions for any show.
IF THERE’S NO FORM BELOW, WE ARE NOT CURRENTLY TAKING SESSION IDEA SUBMISSIONS FOR ANY SHOW.
