Session Pitch Form

This form allows you to pitch session ideas for SMX events that haven’t yet posted a final agenda. For events that DO have posted agendas, you need to use the speaking pitch form.

Pitching a session idea for one of our SMX conferences is the very best way to increase the odds of speaking. Suggest a great session, and if it makes it to the final agenda of a show, there’s an excellent chance you’ll be one of the speakers.

If your session suggestion is accepted, and you are accepted to speak as part of that, you’ll receive a pass to the entire SMX event. Travel and accommodation are not provided. We do try to notify everyone using this form if they have been accepted or rejected as a speaker, usually within two weeks of the final agenda for a show being posted.

Not accepted to speak as part of having submitted a session pitch? There’s a second chance to participate when the final agenda for an event is posted. Use the speaking pitch form for that.

Please do not contact our conference chairs directly with your pitch. Honest, this form is the best way to get your pitch in front on them.

Also, we will accept pitches made from PR firms and PR people on behalf of other speakers. However, the acceptance rate for these types of pitches is extremely low. These types of pitches typically aren’t specific enough or are made blindly without any real attempt to understand the conference or the type of content we’re after. It’s much better to have the actual speaker do their own pitch.

To further increase the odds of being accepted, also review past SMX agendas for a particular show.

Which conference are you suggesting a session for? (You MUST first select the conference. If the conference name does not appear in the drop down list, it has either not opened yet to session pitches or session pitches have closed for it.)

* Proposed Title of Session Being Pitched:

* Session Pitch:
(Your pitch should be about 2 to 7 paragraphs long. We don’t need an essay, just a general idea of what the session would be about, along with some specifics about what you might cover speaking as part of that session. The more specifics, the better. You can suggest other potential speakers, but that’s not required. Don’t pitch a session about your product, service or company.)

* Speaker’s First Name: * Speaker’s Last Name:

* Speaker’s Email:

* Speaker’s Company: * Speaker’s Job Title:

* Speaker Bio:
(Tell us a little about yourself, your company and the type of work you do. We don’t need a resume nor a lengthy bio. Just a few paragraphs to describe yourself.)

All items above are required to process your submission. The items below are only required if you’re submitting on behalf of someone else.
