Dixon founded Receptional with Dr. David Smith in 1999 but was active in search engine optimisation for a few years before then in a previous business - running Murder Mystery parties. He also is a regular speaker at SES, Ad-tech and Pubcon conferences and a moderator on Webmasterworld where he moderates Microsoft's Adcenter, Live search forums, the tracking and logging forum.
Dixon has a BA(Hons) from Brunel University.
