Mike Rogers, CEO, Optimize Search Engine Marketing
Mike Rogers is CEO of Optimize which he founded in 1999 as a specialist Search Engine Marketing (SEM) agency. Optimize provides independent Search Marketing services, consultancy and training to clients in the UK and overseas.
A specialist in Pay per Click (PPC) strategy, Mike works as lead consultant at Optimize on large and complex PPC campaigns using Google AdWords, Microsoft adCenter and Yahoo Search Marketing. He has worked on strategic campaigns with many blue chip clients that include AIRMILES, Diageo, Dyson, Evans Cycles, Kodak, Office of National Statistics, Rothschilds Bank, Toshiba, Yell.com amongst others. In 2007 he was invited by Microsoft to speak on their Microsoft adCenter road show throughout the UK to present on PPC strategy.
Mike also has extensive Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Web Analytics experience having worked on a variety of SEO-related projects for the BBC, Laboratory of the Government Chemist, Monster.co.uk, Nationwide, Nestle, Parcelforce and the Royal Mail.
He has developed training courses on PPC and SEO for the IDM (Institute of Direct Marketing) – Europe's leading marketing training provider. He also sits on the Search Council of the IAB (Internet Advertising Bureau) in the UK and is a moderator on Search Engine Watch, the world's leading resource for search engine marketing. He is invited to speak at all major exhibitions on SEM that include Search Engine Strategies (SES), Search Marketing Expo (SMX), ad:tech, Internet World and others.
Prior to Optimize he worked for over 15 years in technical and marketing roles covering the UK and Europe. He has degrees from Cardiff University, West Virginia University (USA) and an MBA from the Open University.
