West will be held February 10-12, 2009 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA. The programming, focus and audience development efforts for SMX West will be similar to those employed for the successful 2008 event, which was also held in February.

SMX West 2008 attracted more than 2100 registered attendees. The SMX West an audience that was predominantly regional, with 60% of attendees coming from California and another 10% from the surrounding states.

The variety of programming combined with audience development efforts highlighting the availability of content for all skill levels, yielded a diverse audience; 36% of attendees said they’d been involved in internet marketing for more than five years, 17% three to five years, and 36% less than three years.

The audience was comprised of individual with purchase authority and responsibility. They were involved in purchasing several categories of internet marketing tools and solutions, including PPC advertising, natural SEO, web analytics and bid management solutions.
