Live @ SMX East: Trends In Mobile Search
September 17, 2013 by Chris Sherman
As many pundits predicted, the number of people accessing the internet via mobile devices has exploded. It’s not hope or hype any longer: Industry observers comScore and Nielsen released reports conclusively demonstrating that 2012 was the tipping-point year in which all doubts about the disruptive impact of mobile should have been brushed aside. Comparing PC vs. mobile engagement, they found that mobile now accounts for as much as 40 percent of time spent online.
And with the ceaseless launch of new types of mobile devices, and rumors of giants like Amazon and Wal-Mart possibly entering the fray, anyone wanting to do serious marketing in the mobile universe needs to be ready to take full advantages of the opportunities that mobile will present.
At SMX East, our panelists have promised to bring their crystal balls and share their insights into the future in Trends In Mobile Search. Our panelists in this session provide you with solid stats on how people are using mobile, predict growth trends, and discuss key aspects that are unique to mobile marketing such as optimizing for mobile, voice search, Google’s Enhanced Campaigns and responsive design.
